This week, our talented PC Technician, Kym Bentham, is building an innovative solution for a valued customer in the automotive manufacturing sector. The challenge? Crafting a powerful, bespoke rack PC that goes beyond the boundaries of what’s available on the market.
What makes this project unique is the customisation of the rack PC we’re building in our in-house workshop. Unavailable in the market, it’s built to a specification that aligns with the client’s requirements, including extra PCIe cards that address the diverse conditions of the automotive manufacturing process.
Collaborating closely with our technical sales team and the customer’s tech experts, our Key Account Manager, Mark Mapperson, designed a bespoke system tailored to the customer’s needs, which Kym is now working hard to build to exact specifications. The rack PC’s extra PCIe cards are carefully incorporated to meet the customer’s connectivity demands.
The system has optimised high-performance capabilities housed in a short-depth chassis, ensuring it integrates smoothly into the customer’s desired location. With over 50 of these advanced systems set for deployment, our customer can anticipate a significant reduction in production cycle time and improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
