The TANK-101B is a new Embedded PC from IEI Technology. The unique design of chassis allows the TANK-101B to be passively cooled and run entirely fanless. This allows the TANK-101B to work in wide temperature environments (-20C ~ +70C) found mainly in the Transportation and Automation industry. Due to the nature of those environments, the TANK-101B can also accept a wide voltage input (9 ~ 36V DC) allowing it to be effectively installed in many locations.
The TANK-101B features the Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz dual core processor and ICH8M chipset. It also features 1GB of built-in DDR3 memory with optional expansion up to 2GB. In addition, the TANK-101B also includes isolated COM and CAN communication ports.
Isolated CAN
The Control Area Network (CAN) is a serial bus system originally developed for the automobile industry but has recently been taken in by the Industrial Automation market. The TANK-101B has built-in CAN bus controllers and provides bus arbitration and error detection with an automatic transmission repeat function.
This drastically reduces the chance of data loss, ensures system reliability and makes it suitable for networking intelligent I/O devices such as sensors. The CAN controllers on the TANK-101B feature optical isolation to protect itself from ground loops, voltage spikes and electrostatic discharge.
Even though the TANK-101B is designed to work in such harsh environments, I/O is not sacrificed.

You can mount the TANK-101B in a variety of ways including Wall and DIN-rail mount. It also meets various standards such as CE, FCC, RoHS and MIL-STD-810F 514.5C-1/2.

The TANK-101B system includes IEI's unique One Key Recovery software solution. The software eliminates the frustration of system recovery after an unexpected system failure. One Key Recovery easily creates a full system backup on demand and allows recovery by restoring to a previously made backup with a single click.
