LCD to Board Pairing Services

Impulse offer a LCD and Board Pairing Service that helps take the pain out of identifying and configuring a compatible end solution.  We can cater for the connection of embedded computer boards directly through a digital TTL or LVDS interfaces. We can customise the display BIOS and offer custom cable sets all of which help to eliminate the potential pitfalls associated when pairing these devices.

We have extensive experience with AUO, NEC, LG, Hitachi and other main manufacturers of LCD panels and can supply VGA/DVI and video driver boards for easy connectivity. We also can cater for customers touchscreen and touchscreen controller requirements.

Impulse offers a unique call-off facility, completely free of charge, which allows our customers to specify a calendar of deployment for product delivery to suit their own production cycle.

Firmware and BIOS Support

Impulse can assist in creating and supplying custom BIOS for your applications ensuring revision control and systems settings are maintained.  Custom BIOS and firmware support packages not only improve system performance and reliability but also reduce the customer’s valuable time and cost when field failures occur.

Impulse also offer support with creating redistributable bios upgrades on USB sticks and also with the new UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) available on new boards were it is possible in most cases to change bios settings even upgrade bios’ from the OS level or even remotely.

Extended Warranty Support Packages

Impulse are pleased to offer an Extended Warranty agreements that are designed to give customers a fixed cost of ownership for supplied goods over a longer period of time than the standard manufacturer’s warranty period.

Our cost effective extended warranty packages compliment our standard manufacturer warranty periods, with Extended Warranty periods of up to five years being available. Our extended warranty packages cover all parts, labour and shipping charges, subject to Terms and Conditions.

In addition to our extended warranty packages some of our product range come with a lifetime warranty as standard, these include the Sealevel range.

Extended QA Procedures

Quality control assurances are of primary importance in the embedded and industrial market where field or on-site failures can be a costly and time consuming issue.

Impulse recognises the importance of ensuring that all products, systems and solutions we supply are tested as thoroughly as possible. For this, we carefully choose our manufacturing partners to ensure the very best quality and reliability.  Beyond this Impulse can undertake in-house field testing upon request, replicating your application and testing the product within the constraints of your application.  Field testing documentation for the customer’s product is then created for on-going requirements.

Test Services and Reporting

Impulse is acutely aware of the time and expense that non-compliant products can cause OEM’s and system integrators. From single components to full systems, we offer impartial advice to all of our customers to help them achieve the compliance they need. Impulse can supply complete test reports on our complete product range in areas of certification such as CE/FCC, UL, E-mark, DNV, EN50155 and ATEX.

We also have a range of products that meet medical certification such as UL 60601-1, EN 60601-2, IEC 60601-1-2. In some case our customer require our help to source e test reports, power consumption reports, MTTF and MTBF figures and RoHS certification and approvals.

Impulse has also partnered with a number of testing centres in the UK to assist our customers to achieve the certifications they need for their product whether it be board or system level.
