The D2550, N2800 and the N2600 are the latest
Intel Atom processors to hit the
embedded market. These small scale 32nm chips feature both CPU and GPU on a single die, allowing the
processors to output a higher performance whilst maintaining a lower TDP (thermal design power). Their on-die GPU has a base frequency between 400MHz (N2800 and N2600) and 640MHz (D2550) and includes full support for DirectX 10.1 and HD decoding (MPEG-2, VC1, AVC and H.264).
The GENE-CV05
comes equipped with an extensive range of
I/O including five RS-232, one RS-232/422/485, six USB2.0 and a programmable 8-bit
digital I/O. For storage, the GENE-CV05 includes a SATA2.0 port and a CFast socket. Networking capabilities include two 10/100/1000Base-TX Gigabit
Ethernet ports controlled by the
high performance Realtek RTL8111E
Ethernet chipset.
For added protection the GENE-CV05 features optional support for the Infineon SLB 9635 TT 1.2 Trust Platform Module. This allows users to securely lock down the GENE-CV05 and makes it an ideal platform for gaming, kiosk,
digital signage and
POS applications.
