Impulse launches new range of Cedar Trail based Tablet PCs

Impulse is pleased to announce a new range of Rugged Industrial Tablet PCs from Winmate. These rugged tablets are one of the first to market featuring the new high performance, low powered Cedar Trail Intel Atom N2600 processor and NM10 chipset. The new Cedar Trail platform boasts a higher degree of performance whilst maintaining a lower power consumption and reduced heat output over previous generations.
The ID83 tablet range features a high quality transflective TFT LCD displays with a 4-wire resistive touchscreen interface and is available in three sizes; 8.4”, 10.4” and 12.1”. Four models are currently available: The R08ID8M-RTU1 (8.4” – 800 x 600), the R10ID8M-RTU1 (10.4”- 800 x 600), the R10ID8M-RTT2 (10.4” – 1024 x 768) and the R12ID8M-RTM7 (12.1” - 1024 x 768).
Each ID83 tablet is capable of accepting up to 4GB of high performance DDR3-800 SODIMM memory and includes space for a 2.5” SATA hard drive. As standard the range features a built in 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN and 1T1R class II Bluetooth interface. For added mobility you can include a 3G/HSDPA mobile modem with built-in 50-channel GPS receiver / transmitter.
In addition, the ID83 tablet range comes with a number of I/O ports enabling further expansion. As standard each tablet comes with two USB2.0 ports, one serial RS-232 port, one 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet port, an audio-out and mic-in jack, a VGA video output port, a SIM card slot and an SD memory card slot.
When designing the ID83 tablet range, Winmate considered the challenges faced in the industrial environment. This is reflected the solid aluminium alloy housing and protective rubber trimming enabling them to meet full IP54 and MIL-STD-810F standards.
Inside the ID83 tablet range is a reliable and high performance 6-cell Lithium-Ion 5200mAh battery. Combined with the low powered Cedar Trail N2600 processor, the ID83 range is capable of running for up to five and a half hours.
