Impulse is pleased to launch the TANK-101B Fanless Embedded Controller from IEI Technology. The TANK-101B features the powerful embedded dual core Intel Atom D525 processor clocked at an impressive 1.8GHz, and utilises the latest ICH8M chipset. It also has 1GB of built-in DDR3 memory and allows for an additional 1GB DDR3 memory with its internal 204-pin DIMM socket. The unique design of the heavy duty aluminium alloy chassis enables the TANK-101B to handle temperatures from -20C to +70C, and allows the processor to be passively cooled.
Due to the harsh nature of the industrial environment, the TANK-101B has been designed to include an isolated COM port and two isolated CAN-bus ports to help protect it from voltage spikes and ground loops. In addition to the isolated ports, the TANK-101B also accepts a wide range 9 to 36V DC power input.
The TANK-101B has an impressive selection of I/Oe ports including 4 x USB2.0, 3 x RS-232, 1 x isolated RS-242/422/485 and 2 x isolated CAN-bus. Storage options include a single 2.5" SATA hard drive bay and a protected CompactFlash socket. For high speed networking the TANK-101B also has 2 x Realtek 8111E Gigabit Ethernet with ASF2.0 and optional 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.
The TANK-101B system includes IEI's unique One Key Recovery software solution. The software eliminates the frustration of system recovery after an unexpected system failure. One Key Recovery easily creates a full system backup on demand and allows recovery by restoring to a previously made backup with a single click.
