As a leading UK system integrator of embedded computing solutions
and specialist distributor of industrial computing products
, Impulse undertook the process of joining the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) and became Achilles UVDB registered in early 2016.
Registration was achieved following the UVDB pre-qualification process performed by Achilles
, which focused on a number of Impulse's internal processes and practices that relate directly to the utilities industry, as well as evaluating areas such as Quality Management, Heath and Safety, Environmental Practices, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Ethics and Compliance.
Being a UVDB registered supplier has many benefits to our current and prospective customers, it helps to significantly streamline the procurement process for our customers by reducing procurement costs, simplifying the procurement process and benchmarking our performance as a supplier to the utilities industry. The Achilles platform works to ensure suppliers’ information is accurate via data validation and various audit processes. Several buying organisations also use the UVDB community as an approved mechanism for tendering for contracts, both above and below EU thresholds.
On achieving Achilles UVDB registration Robert Plant, Impulse Sales Director said: "Obtaining the Achilles UVDB registration further highlights our investment in the UK utilities market and reiterates our commitment to providing the UK utilities industry with high quality industrial computing products."
Robert Plant explained further: "Impulse have been in business since 1993 and over the years we have developed a strong presence in the UK utilities industry. We offer a variety of industrial computing products and embedded solutions
