As a company, we have taken significant strides to reinforce our commitment to our environmental responsibility. With a clear understanding of the pressing need for businesses to contribute to a greener future, we have implemented several new initiatives that will help to minimise our impact on the environment, whilst still delivering on our business growth objectives.

Waste Management

The first initiative was to prioritise our waste management and recycling efforts. We have implemented numerous recycling programs within our facility to ensure that materials like electronics, plastics, and packaging are correctly sorted and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. By partnering with Veolia, we have access to dashboards that track our efforts to segregate and reduce our waste streams.

Sustainable Procurement

We have placed a strong emphasis on sustainable procurement practices, actively seeking suppliers, and partners who share our commitment to environmental responsibility. We have made a concerted effort to responsible sourcing and working with a limited number of UK suppliers to reduce the number of deliveries, packaging, and unnecessary waste, along with consolidating the number of deliveries from our Taiwanese Partners to reduce the amount of air freights into the country, and therefore reducing our carbon footprint.

Recycled Packaging

One of the areas that has seen a significant impact of our initiatives is in the packing we use. We have made a conscious effort to source recycled cardboard boxes to dispatch our products and have invested in a cardboard shredder to reuse the packaging that we receive from all our suppliers, which will now be used to fill the inside of the boxes to replace the plastic space fillers we previously used. We are also looking into other ways to reduce our environmental impact with innovative new packaging solutions.

Clothing from Recycled Materials

Our collaborative approach has meant that during internal discussions, we have managed to make changes to all areas of the business, from ensuring lights are turned off when not in use, to the clothes that we wear. Just like any other business we want to promote the company by having our logo proudly featured on our t-shirts, jumpers, and coats, but it does not stop there, we want our ethos and beliefs to be a feature of them also, which is why our polo shirts, boots and trainers are all made from recycled material.

Environmental Consciousness

Our dedication to environmental responsibility extends beyond our own operations. We actively engage with our employees, customers, and the broader community to promote sustainable practices. Through awareness campaigns, and internal initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of environmental consciousness, empowering individuals to make eco-friendly choices both within and outside the workplace.

One of our most recent initiatives was involving several staff members, to maintain the grounds of our fantastic facility, including cultivating pollinating plants to attract bees, planting a commemorative tree for our 30th anniversary, building a bug house from recycled pallets and ensuring the grounds were free from litter. This not only made our grounds look amazing but also means the wildlife is free to grow and flourish.

Our Dedication

Our commitment to environmental responsibility serves as a testament to our forward-thinking approach and dedication to creating a more sustainable world. By investing in waste management systems, prioritizing sustainable procurement, and fostering a culture of environmental consciousness, we are leading the charge in responsible business practices. We hope these initiatives serve as a model for other companies, highlighting how environmental responsibility can be integrated into core business operations, driving positive environmental impact.

But it does not stop there, we are continually looking at new ways to make positive changes to the environment and will share the best practices as we add new ones to our process.
