Stoke-on-Trent, UK (21/04/2011) Impulse is pleased to announce the addition of the GENE-TC05 from Aaeon Technology to our range of Single Board Computers. The GENE-TC05 is one of the first 3.5” Sub Compact Boards to feature the latest Tunnel Creek Intel Atom Processor Chipset. Tunnel Creek is a new Embedded Processor range from Intel® featuring onboard graphics and memory controllers.
The GENE-TC05 is available with a range of Tunnel Creak Intel® Atom™ E600 series processors including the E680 1.6GHz and E620 600MHz. In addition to the E600 series processors, the GENE-TC05 is controlled by the Intel® EG20T PCH chipset for unparalleled performance and the Nuvoton W82627DHG-P and Fintek F81216GD I/O Chipsets for extended flexibility.
The 3.5” board is available with up to 1GB of onboard DDR2 memory and has two 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ45 LAN sockets with Wake-on-LAN support. The GENE-TC05 has an impressive I/O portfolio with 4 x USB2.0, 6 x COM, 1 x CAN Bus, 2 x MiniCard, 1 x SATA II, 1 x CFast and a programmable 8-bit Digital I/O. The Intel® Atom™ E600 series processors have a built in Graphics Controller (GMA-600 2D/3D graphics engine up to 400MHz) allows support for OpenGL ES2.0, OpenGL 2.1, Open VG 1.1 and hardware accelerated HD video decoding (MPEG4 pt2, H.264, WMV and VC1) and encoding (MPEG4 pt2, H.264).
The GENE-TC05 also has VGA, DVI and 24-bit single channel LVDS with a dedicated controller to support 4/5/8 wire Resistive Touch Screen interfaces. The extensive range of I/O and board features makes the GENE-TC05 a powerful yet flexible solution for embedded computing applications.
