The Rabbit Serial-to-Ethernet Kit provides the hardware and software necessary for sensors and other serial devices to communicate via a LAN or other network. The Multi-Port Serial-To-Ethernet Application Kit allows you to simultaneously connect several serial devices to a network.

Implementation of the optional RabbitWeb software module makes it simple to web-enable your application to allow monitoring and control of serial devices via the Internet or Intranet. The Multi-Port Serial-to-Ethernet Application Kit uses several sample application programs to guide you through serial to Ethernet conversion. Powered by the RCM3700 RabbitCore, the Kit also includes a prototyping board, the Dynamic C development environment including a royalty-free TCP/IP stack with source code, sample applications, temperature sensor demoboard, required cables, and assorted accessories.

The sample applications highlight functionality such as RS-232 to Ethernet conversion, RS-485 to Ethernet conversion, Ethernet to Serial Conversion, data gathering from serial devices such as the included temperature sensor demoboard and a digital voltmeter (not included), and web-enabling applications.
