CE

CE is a mandatory standard for products on the market in the European Economic Area. By CE marking a product, the manufacturer ensures that the item meets the essential safety requirements set out in the applicable CE directive.

DIN-rail mountable

These devices have been designed to be mounted directly on to an industry standard DIN-rail.

Extended Wide Temperature

These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.

Fanless

These products use heatsink, heatpipe and extrusion technology to dissipate the heat generated by the system rather than using traditional fans thus improving system reliability and longevity.

FCC Approved

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.

PoE

This device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) which describes any of several standardised or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling.

RoHS

This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.

VESA

VESA is a mounting standard for displays and systems and consists of four screws arranged in a square with the horizontal and vertical distance between the screw centres.

Wide Voltage

These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.

The Nuvo-5000 series is a general purpose fanless embedded computer with the latest Intel 6th Gen. Core i7/i5/i3 'Skylake' processor from Intel. It offers outstanding computing power and is more power efficient compared to its predecessors. The Nuvo-5000 supports triple independent displays, dual storage for isolating system and data, up to six Gigabit Ethernet ports, up to eleven COM ports and sixteen USB ports.

Provided with one PCI or PCIe expansion slot, the Nuvo-5000 features a compact and rugged design. The compact dimensions of the PC are only 240mm (W) x 255mm (D) x 90mm (H). The expansion slot is located in the Neousys "expansion cassette". This patented design reduces the potential thermal impact from the installed add-on card thus making the Nuvo-5000 expandable yet stable.

Neousys also provides it's MezIO interface designed for incorporating application orientated I/O functions into the embedded system. It offers computer signals, power rails and control signals via a high speed connector. MezIO is also mechnically reliable and benefits from a 3 point mounted mezzanine structure. A range of MezIO modules are available including COM, isolated DIO, LVDS output, CANbus, ignition power control and DTIO.
